Director, Playwright, Arts Administrator

Elizabeth is a director, writer, occasional performer and arts administrator. Originally hailing from small-town Texas, she recently received an MFA in stage directing from The Lir Academy at Trinity College, the Irish National Academy of Dramatic Art. Prior to that, she worked as a freelance director and playwright in Chicago for 12 years.

Chicago companies she has worked with as a director include Strawdog Theatre, Babes with Blades, Wildclaw and Red Theater Chicago, where she is also a company member. Her adaptation of the noir film DOA, which she also directed, won the 2016 Non-Equity Jeff Award for Best Adaptation. As an arts administrator, Elizabeth has worked with Theater Wit and The House Theatre of Chicago.
